Great place, the house and the surroundings are very nice and pieceful. We arrived when it was dark and the sign at the entrance wasn't that visible, so we missed the place. Also, the weekend we went the river was very high and overflow the surrounding almost reaching the road at the entrance of the property. This is something to consider when booking. The property is higher than the road and river. Thankfully they did not close the road and the water went down on the second day of our stay.

The property and location are good, but the internet connection was pretty poor, and the first night was very cold because the heating system wasn’t switched on before arrival.

This cottage was gorgeous. Exceptionally comfortable mattress . Brilliantly appointed.. Dog friendly cottage and so close to the river Trent. Beautiful helpful neighbour too. Unfortunately the hosts use a company called Renzo to host on their behalf. Excellent idea if for whatever reason hosting doesn’t work for you but you still want to let your spare property. Sadly an unexpected deposit of £200, which wasn’t returned for FIVE days after departure 🤷‍♀️ I had problems getting key code to get in Renzo sounded off short too over the phone.They kindly wavered deposit I have used 16 AirB&Bs and have an excellent rating and was deeply uncomfortable paying more and I couldn’t read the T&Cs … This was not a holiday my son at Uni had been expectedly taken into hospital and I was beyond stressed . A third-party like this was disappointing and not in the true spirit of AirB&B I love the whole ethos of AirB&B ordinary people who love hosting & hospitality. And not always using conglomerates.
