Generally a good stay in a nice house with well stocked kitchen and nice rooms (although mattresses in single rooms were hard and uncomfortable). Unfortunately, poor communication and a lack of taking clear accountability, soured our stay. We requested a travel cot prior to our stay and this request was accepted however the host failed to mention that we would need to bring own cot mattress. When we checked in, we asked about the cot mattress and the host initially said that they don't provide a cot mattress due to hygiene reasons (which is completely understandable but this should have been communicated to us) however then went on to say that they did provide a cot mattress, referring to the solid base of the cot. The host failing to communicate the need to bring our own mattress and then failing to adequately take responsibility for the failure in communication has dropped the rating of our stay.

Such a lovely house, far bigger inside than what it looks outside, really clean & tidy. Lots of information given and lots of contact. Close to lovely places to eat and drink.

Second stay here and just as great as the first. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, and the host was friendly and responsive. We’d happily stay again.
