The house is presented beautifully. It is well equipped (not loads of cooking trays and so on but ideal for basic cooking). The hosts provide shampoo/ coffee and so on. The place was clean (although we did have to re wash things from the dishwasher.) There was an unpleasant smell which the host knew about and offered to come back and clean again but unfortunately was not convenient for us. There was also no WiFi but the host did kindly drop a new WiFi box the next day. The host informed me this is a 5* place when I brought up issues over WiFi, smell, no sugar or surface cleaner but unfortunately I would have to disagree. Check in instructions were not sent before arrival so we had to wait. Also upon check out we were concerned we couldn’t lock the back gate so panicked calling and messaging for advice from host as we didn’t want to leave the property in-secure to be informed “oh yes I know about that don’t worry”. This could have been communicated prior.

As we arrived, the lock to the back gate was broken. There was broken glass scattered on the patio and seating area. There are two showers. If you use both at the same time you loose pressure and can get scolded. We stayed away as my mother in law is undergoing cancer treatment and cannot travel far. Hence why we traveled from London. I privately messaged the owner and her response was disrespectful and rude. She had assumed we’d broke the gate and scattered glass everywhere. She assumed we’d had a party!! Even though she has cctv everywhere I’m sure she could have checked to see we didn’t party! We was actually spending precious time with my in laws. Upsetting how some people can be so rude!

We had a really lovely stay at Jodie’s place. The place was immaculate and very homely and comfortable. We did have a small issue with there not being enough forks for all of us but Jodie sorted this for us very quickly. We mainly ate in the house so a few serving dishes, salad bowls etc would be a great addition. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and although the weather wasn’t kind to us the garden looked like it would have been another great place to relax. All in all a lovey place to relax with friends in a warm and homely environment 👍🏻
