We had a nice stay here over Christmas while visiting family in durham. You can walk easily to the cathedral and castle and its a very quiet and secluded road. Beds very comfortable and linen lovely. Tea and coffee making is available too.

Good place for a group to stay for a couple of nights. It was a little basic and lacked a few amenities which would have been appreciated (shampoo, cooking oil etc) but served us well for a short stay. The location was great - parking no bother and a short and scenic (Observatory Hill!) walk into town. Good value.

They were a great host that responded to any queries very quickly. Even when we had a very small issue with the number of bedding provided they apologised and sorted it the same day. Overall, a fantastic host and would definitely recommend!
