The property could not be accessed at check-in due to a lock code that did not work. No pre-arrival checks appear to have been carried out to ensure access was possible, which resulted in my family being unable to enter the property. As no alternative accommodation was available locally, we were required to drive 44km to a family member’s home, arriving in the early hours of the morning. The response from the host was delayed, and the explanation given was that they do not live in the UK, which highlighted poor coordination and oversight. Given the cost of the booking, basic access checks prior to arrival would be a reasonable expectation. In addition, the listing did not clearly state that the property is accessed from the rear or that there are two flights of stairs to navigate. This information has since been amended, suggesting it was previously unclear. While the listing has many positive reviews, the negative reviews raise consistent issues that closely match our experience.

We had a really lovely stay here. The property was very clean and well looked after, which made a big difference. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and the decor was really nice without being over the top. The private parking was a big plus for us and made things so much easier. Location-wise it’s great there’s a bus stop right outside, the train station is within walking distance, and Sainsbury’s is just across the road which was really handy. Overall, it was great value for money compared to other places in the area. We can’t complain at all and will definitely be back again.

I was a bit skeptical at first as it only had one review, but they seemed legit (they’ve got 22 listings). The place exceeded expectations, spotless throughout, and it felt freshly refurbished throughout. Two TVs and the workstation were a big bonus, plus the kitchen was really well equipped. Being able to walk to the station was a huge win for my son, and there were loads of restaurants and pubs nearby. Quick responses when we had questions about the local area too. Would happily stay again

Beautiful house exceptionally clean responsive hosts, We had plenty of parking for our two cars and we loved the privacy that the flat brought us really happy and very good transport links. TV in the bedroom was a big hit with my boys. We will be back when we’re in the area again.

Cancellations and Compliance Where a booking requires online check-in and verification, failure to complete the process may lead to cancellation. For non-instant bookings, we may decline or cancel if verification requirements are not met. Data Privacy Where ID verification is required, data is processed and stored securely by Chekin.
